The weather held off and we were able to run our first relay race of the season. Relays are always a good time as it's still competitive but more social! Each team had to complete 20 laps of the 1km course. Since each lap was so short, racers were pushing harder than normal. Kelly Amberson and Andrew Thomas we're able to finish the 20 laps in 42:41 allowing them to take the win. They were followed up by Adam Schenk and Garret Woynarski with a total time of 46:06. In 3rd place was Isaac Mcmurray and Kris Doering with a time of 47:24. Some honorable mentions tonight were Shawn Wedewer who rode all 20 laps by himself and was still smiling by the end. Another team that stood out was the Stennes family. Avery and Lyla were out for their first time and improved on every lap! Powering through the climbs without hesitation. We can't wait to have them race with us again.
Thanks for coming out and being part of our bike racing community! See y
ou all next week.
